Marc van Zadelhoff

Marc van Zadelhoff is a Program Director for Security Business Development at IBM, where he helps to define IBM’s security strategy and works to fill gaps through partnerships or acquisitions. Marc joined IBM in January 2007 as part of the Consul acquisition and helped to integrate their solutions, which are now key product pillars in IBM Tivoli’s security and compliance portfolio. As Vice President of Marketing and Business Development of Consul from 2002 – 07, Marc was responsible for worldwide product marketing, corporate strategy, analyst relations, marketing communications and strategic partnerships. |

Prior to Consul, Marc held various positions in corporate strategy, technology marketing and venture investment, both in the USA and Europe. He began his career as a strategy consultant with Gemini Consulting, working with clients in France, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, Canada and the US. Immediately prior to Consul, Marc worked as an investment manager with Fortis Banks’ NeSBIC Venture Capital Group, an original Consul investor. He received an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania) and his BA degree in liberal arts from Bowdoin College. Marc currently lives in Washington, DC, but has spent much of his life living in Amsterdam and Boston.
